The Single Gourmet gives me the opportunity to do what I love to do – Enjoy good food, good wine and good company! I have experienced new restaurants I might not other-wise get to and also visited a few of my old favorites. The people that I’ve met are great too. From the first visit, everyone always makes everyone else feel welcome.

I’ve met some lovely men and women at the events I have attended. I was so happy with the organization that I encourage my two daughters, ages 36 and 38 to join the group. We even attended a few events together. We all had a fine time, and incidentally, we me people in our own age and interest groups.

No one has to be a gourmet guru to really appreciate what the The Single Gourmet is about. I have never really done this gourmet stuff so to speak, but it’s interesting and I an trying new and exciting places.

I like the idea that there are younger people, middle aged people and older people. It’s a good mixture of all ages there. I certainly enjoy being treated to a nice evening out where I can meet people with similar interests as myself. I had become a widow, and I was used to going out to nice restaurants, and when I read about this, I decided to join. I am happy that it exists, because I probably wouldn’t just pick myself up and go out to dinner by myself. I don’t think that would be much fun.
